Unique-orn SewAlong Info!

When I was asked by Helen of @and_sew_I to test her newest pattern, I was hesitant. I am trying very hard to schedule my time wisely, and remind myself that saying “no, thank you” is okay. So I asked what the quilt subject was.

“Unicorn”

“I’m in”

And the rest is history. Are you ready for a SewAlong of this amazing pattern!?

ABOUT THE PATTERN

This Foundation Paper Pieced quilt pattern gives you the choice of UNICORN or HORSE (with or without the horn)!
It comes in two sizes:

Wallhanging - 30 x 40 inches

Single Bed - 60 x 80 inches

Many colourways are possible, so make yours as unique as you or who you are making it for!

This item is a PDF download. You print the pattern pieces and can make the quilt as many times as you want.

ABOUT THE SEWALONG

Here’s the best part! We are going to make the quilt together, with lots of tutorials, tips, tricks, and PRIZES along the way!

What do you need to do?

  1. Purchase the PDF download pattern HERE.

  2. Decide which version you’ll be making: the wallhanging or the bed sized quilt, and decide between a horse or a unicorn.

  3. If you haven’t already, head to instagram to watch my SewAlong introduction video (links to all videos are in the sewalong schedule below). While you’re there, follow the SewAlong sponsors: @and_sew_I , @gudegoods , @lazycozyquilts , @mashemodern

  4. Post the “I’m in!” SewAlong photo to your instagram page (you’ll find it pinned to the top of my instagram feed), tag me @crankykangaroo and @and_sew_I, using #uniqueornsewalong so you can be eligible for prizes! You’ll use this hashtag anytime you post for the SewAlong, so make sure you spell it correctly!

  5. If you’re making the wallhanging, you can print your pattern on a home printer. If you’re making the bed-sized quilt, I recommend ordering your pdf’s from a printer. I like pdfplotting.com, or outside the US you can use www.netprinter.co.uk. The pattern pages for the full size quilt are very large and can’t easily be printed on a home printer. One SewAlong participant will win a coupon code for 50% off their print order from pdfplotting.com!! Winner will be announced at the end of the day October 10th.

  6. Make a note in your calendar to come by each Monday for that week’s task! And don’t worry, if you miss a week or fall behind schedule, there are several catch up weeks built in!
